A heavy rainmaker is set to move into our region later today. The bulk of the heaviest rain is overnight into tomorrow with a Flash Flood Watch in effect.
We're putting the wraps on a sunny and cold Thursday across the bluegrass state. Temps today have struggled to get out of the 30s, but milder weather returns for Friday.
That's when thermometers hit 60 degrees in many areas of the region. Skies will stay mainly sunny as winds gust up from the west and southwest.
Saturday looks to be in pretty good shape with 50s and partly sunny skies. There is just a small chance for a shower.
A cold front sinks in Saturday night with colder air moving in behind this. At the same time, an area of low pressure forms to our south and rolls eastward. That will throw rain and snow our way later Sunday into Monday.
Both of those days look rather ugly at the moment.
