A dynamic system will cross the state over the next few days and deliver another big rain event. This could cause flash flooding across parts of the state.
From fallen trees, to damaged homes and cars, the severe weather left its mark Tuesday across the Bluegrass.
The storms even trapped a couple of people inside their home.
A downed tree blocked the exit for those people, who live in a home on State Street, near the UK campus in Lexington.
Strong winds caused a large tree to fall across several cars, and onto the house.
"My room is right next to the car, and I hear glass and looked out and just saw a huge tree," Scott Volz, who lives in the house, said.
Volz and seven other men live in the home, which is divided into two apartments.
When the tree fell, it destroyed the stairs leading up to the second floor.
Firefighters used a ladder to rescue those trapped upstairs. No one was hurt, but one of the cars was destroyed.
The men living in the upstairs apartment won't be able to return until repairs are made to the stairs.
