Rounds of showers and thunderstorms could cause issues across the region Saturday. Damaging winds, large hail and a few tornadoes will be possible.
Storms will wind down into the overnight forecast period. Some will linger during the first part of the night but beyond that it will be smooth sailing. Other than the slightly muggy conditions settling into Kentucky, we should be in pretty good shape.
Sun and clouds will greet most of us during the first part of your Monday. The sunshine will help push temperatures into the mid 80s for highs. You factor in just a little humidity and you will begin thinking it feels a little more summer-like out there. While it never gets to those oppressive levels, it is a free sample of what is coming our way in the weeks a head.
Be prepared for a few more showers and storms during the afternoon and evening. The chances are even lower than they were this weekend. I think less people will see showers and storms this go around.
Tuesday is a very different story. A cold front will swing across Kentucky and bring a widespread chance of showers and storms. On the back side of that front will be some much cooler air. Highs in the 60s and lows down in the 40s.
