Storms increase over the holiday weekend

Our much anticipated Labor Day weekend is upon us and it looks like storms will cause some issues. Here's a breakdown of what to expect:

High school football fans should have mainly dry weather, but prepare to sweat. Temps will be in the 80-85 degree range for most of the game.

Saturday will see a better shot for showers and storms going up as a weak front moves in from the north. Locally heavy downpours will be possible with temps back in the upper 80s.

Sunday will see additional rounds of showers and storms flaring up with highs in the upper 80s. A few of the storms may become strong at times.

Labor Day finds a cold front dropping into the state. That will give us a good shot of showers and storms for our last holiday of summer. Temps will be in the low 80s for many.

Overall rain numbers from the next 4 days show the potential for more than an inch of water across our region

Much cooler and drier air moves in for Tuesday and hangs around for the rest of the week.
