Strange odor leads to arrests at Lexington home

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)- Police were called to home in downtown Lexington for a report of a possible meth lab.

Several police and fire crews responded to the scene on Jefferson Street around 6:30 Thursday morning. Someone called 911 after smelling a strong chemical smell in the neighborhood. Investigators originally thought it was a meth lab, but after searching the home, did not find one.

Three people were arrested. Police did use a taser on one of the suspects, who they say would not comply with their demands. Police say at least one of the suspects had outstanding warrants. Officers also found drug paraphernalia inside the home.

Neighbors tell WKYT that police have been to the home in question several times in the past.
