Heavy rain will continue to spark flash flood concerns this evening and tonight. Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 7:30pm for Fayette County.
This is a First Alert Severe Weather Day.Waves of showers and thunderstorms are working across central and eastern Kentucky. These storms are bringing the potential for high winds and hail.
The greatest threat from these storms will be from torrential rains. Local high water issues are possible through the evening.
Additional rounds of showers and storms will work our way through the upcoming weekend. These boomers will roll in from northwest to southeast and could also cause some issues.
Just like we're seeing today, the high water threat will be the main player with the weekend storms.
