The flash flood threat increases late tonight and into Thursday. Rounds of storms may dump a lot of rain across our region.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect till tomorrow morning for northern, Bluegrass and western zones. Nasty conditions again today with highs in the mid to upper 80s. This will be plenty enough for strong to severe storms to move in ahead of this front to the north of us. Damaging winds, hail and flooding are going to be the concerns with this one. The Bluegrass and northbound will have the best opportunity to see severe weather. Northern zones can expect to see storms during afternoon hours...Central zones afternoon/evening...South and southeastern zones evening to nighttime hours.
The rain should kick out as we move through the morning hours on Thursday, which means Thursday afternoon appears to be pretty nice with highs near 80°.
I see no issues on Friday and into the weekend as we will be dry, sunny and highs land in the lower to mid 80s.
