Struggling Groupon ousts CEO Andrew Mason

NEW YORK (AP) - The CEO of online deals pioneer Groupon has been fired.

Groupon founder Andrew Mason was candid about his getting the ax in a memo to staff, saying employees "deserve the outside world to give you a second chance. I'm getting in the way of that."

Groupon has been struggling amid worries that people are tiring of the restaurant, spa and Botox deals the company built its business on.
