Summer temps continue

Summer temps continue across central and eastern Kentucky. This blast of warm air will hang around through the rest of the week. Wednesday and Thursday look to be the warmest of the bunch with readings in the mid to upper 80s under sunny skies.

A cold front inches our way by Friday and will deliver the threat for showers and thunderstorms. Some of those could be strong or severe with very heavy rainfall.

Rounds of showers and storms will rumble across the state this weekend. It won't be a washout, but scattered storms look to be a pretty good bet.

The storm threat may increase as we head into early next week. Highs this weekend into the first half of next week should be in the 70s.
