"Super Load" passes through Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Newtown Pike is back open after a truck, carrying a large load, came through the area.

Diamond Heavy Haul, of Shandon, Ohio, is transporting a 480,000 pound boiler from Tennessee to Ohio. The boiler's dimensions are 195 feet long, 23 feet wide, and 15 feet 6 inches tall.

The truck passed through Lexington around Noon. It came from I-64 east. The truck could not make the curve on the exit ramp at the northern split, to get onto I-75 north. The driver had to get off the I-75 Newtown Pike exit. It then got back on the interstate to head north.

The truck is now headed to a plant in Ohio.
