Superstition doesn't stop lotto hopefuls

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Friday the 13th doesn't mean anything to the folks hoping to win big in the Mega Millions Jackpot.

Superstition isn't a word in Lexington business owner Antoine Adam's vocabulary.

He's hoping he's got a shot at $400 million.

"Absolutely there's a lot to do with $400 million, like help the homeless," said Adams.

With Friday's drawing the second-largest in Mega Millions history, Adams says there will be plenty left over for a few toys of his own.

"That brand new Bentley," he said.

Jim Luff was just passing through Lexington Friday morning on his way to Florida.

"I'd probably take half of it, the buyout," said Luff. "I'd definitely spread the wealth."

The drawing is scheduled for 11 p.m. eastern on Friday.

The odds of winning the jackpot are about 1 in 258 million.

But the odds of winning that $1 back are about 1 in 21.
