RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - A man faces charges nearly a year and a half after a deadly crash in Madison County. The crash happened in January of 2013, police say Corey Adams' car hit another car on Boonesboro Road in Madison County. Jeremy Owen, 21, was a passenger in the other car and died in the crash.

Adams is charged with manslaughter, two counts of wanton endangerment, driving under the influence, and without insurance.

Adams previously pleaded not guilty to those charges.

He was in court on Thursday for a pre-trial hearing. The judge set a $10,000 surety bond for him, under the condition he remains sober, and makes all his court appearances.

Owen's parents were in the courtroom, and have been following this case closely.

"I'm just thankful that there's been some progress and that my son's unjust death is not going unnoticed," said Kevin Owen, Jeremy's father.

Adams and his attorney declined comment on the case.
