TSA employee accused of inappropriate contact with co-worker

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Transportation Security Administration employee is facing charges after one of his employees accused him of being inappropriate.

According to documents, the victim stated that her manager 39-year-old Shane Hinkle forcibly touched her in a sexual manner four times over the past two weeks.

One encounter was reportedly caught on tape.

The police report lists Hinkle's employer as the TSA and says the violation happened at the Lexington's Blue Grass Airport.

Hinkle faces four counts of sexual abuse.

Officials with TSA have released this statement saying, “Shane Hinkle is no longer employed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). TSA holds its employees to the highest ethical standards and expects all employees to conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism. After TSA leadership was notified of the allegations Aug. 6, the employee was immediately placed on administrative leave and the agency commenced an investigation.”
