A former TV police officer ended up in trouble with the real guys. Bowling Green Police cited Paul Michael Glaser for marijuana. Glaser played Starsky in the1970's TV series "Starsky and Hutch".

Bowling Green Police say Glaser was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn when police received a complaint from guests of a marijuana smell. Police search Glaser's room and say they found a pipe with residue. "They actually went to his room and knocked on his door and he came to the door. We told him what we were there for and he gave us the marijuana," said Bowling Green Police Public Information Officer Ronnie Ward.

Police say Glaser told them he was prescribed the drug in California, but police say a doctor's consent there doesn't make it legal to smoke in Kentucky. "We probably cite people for marijuana every day, we didn't handle that case any differently than we handled any other case," said Officer Ward.

Ward says the citation comes with an automatic court date. There's no word on if Ward will have to return to Kentucky to appear in court in person.

Glaser was in Bowling Green to talk to children at the Warren County Library about his new book.
