After another 90 degree day yesterday, we’re off to a much more comfortable start this morning. In fact, we're inching toward record low temperatures this morning in the lower to middle 50s. Today will be the pick day of the week weather-wise as high pressure builds into the region with low humidity and a crisp northeast wind. High temperatures will settle on either side of 80 with plentiful sunshine. Expect clear and comfortable conditions tonight with overnight lows in the middle to upper 50s.
As we head through the rest of the week, a strong upper level ridge will anchor itself over the region. Temperatures will soar to the upper 90s Thursday through Saturday (we could even see a couple of triple-digit highs, especially west, Thursday and Friday). In addition to the extreme heat, humidity levels will also be rather high making things very uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. Conditions stay hot and humid this weekend with chances for isolated afternoon showers Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The daytime shower chances are due to the strong ridge breaking down slightly. Either way, get ready for a heat wave by this weekend.
Enjoy the pleasant day.
