Taste of Spring leads to a soggy start to the week

Updated: Sun 9:27 AM, Mar 10, 2013

We’re ending the weekend on another gorgeous note with highs closing in on 70 for some, upper 60s for others.

Gusty wind out of the south at 15-25mph will pick up through the afternoon Sunday. Paired with increasing clouds overnight, that wind will help keep temperatures mild through Monday morning, with lows in the upper 40s/low 50s.

The cold front will arrive in western Kentucky by the afternoon and then stall out before making a final push toward the east by early evening. Ahead of the front, showers will last all day Monday, along with more gusty wind. Temperatures will climb into the mid 50s for highs during the afternoon, but once the cold front swings through, a noticeable cool down will follow

That cooler air will stick around through midweek, as Old Man Winter does his best to stir the pot one more time.

Hang in there, only 10 more days till the official start of Spring!
