FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) Tea party activists will gather in Lexington on Tuesday to push to "defund" federal health care reforms.
Tea Party Patriots co-founder Jenny Beth Martin and For America Chairman L. Brent Bozell III will lead the first of a series of rallies in Lexington at 12:30 p.m. EDT.
Martin and Bozell complained in a statement that they're fed up with politicians who say they're doing all they can to oppose the Affordable Care Act but are refusing to cut off funding to it.
Tea party activities will hold similar events in Texas and Mississippi on Wednesday and Thursday and in South Carolina and Virginia next week.
The groups want Congress to pass a continuing resolution that funds every part of the government except the health care reforms.
