Teen dies in fall from moving car

BENTON, Ky. (AP) - Authorities in western Kentucky say a teen has been killed in a fall from a moving car.

According to The Paducah Sun, 19-year-old Zackery R. Smalley of Benton was trying to climb out of a sunroof Tuesday evening. A Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy said Logan McNeely of Benton was driving and Smalley's leg blocked McNeely's vision, causing him to swerve the car. Smalley was unresponsive after falling onto Wadesboro Road North.

The report by Sgt. Eddie McGuire stated both McNeely and another passenger in the car tried to talk Smalley out of climbing through the sunroof.
