GLASGOW, Ky. (AP) - A 16-year-old boy has pleaded guilty and received a 20-year prison sentence in the slayings of his legal guardians.
The Glasgow Daily Times (http://bit.ly/VDL7nu) reports that Christopher Endicott received the sentence during a hearing Tuesday in Metcalfe County in which he pleaded guilty to murder in the March 2011 deaths of Gary and Barbara Holloway. The couple was found fatally shot in their Edmonton home.
Endicott also pleaded guilty to charges of robbery, tampering with evidence and fleeing from police.
Endicott's attorney, Crystal Thompson, said the case was a "tragedy" because of the deaths and because of the life her client lived. She called Endicott "the victim of a system that failed him."
