Teens charged in Berea drug bust

BEREA, Ky. (WKYT) - Several people now face charges in connection to a drug bust in Madison County.

On April 23rd, the Berea Police Department executed a search warrant at a home on Valley Street. Once inside, officers tell WKYT that they found several glass jars containing marijuana and several large plastic bags containing marijuana. Police found several other drug paraphernalia items, including scales, boxes of clear plastic baggies and $3,208 in cash. Officers found other substances in the house, suspected to be LSD and Black Tar Heroin

Officers arrested 18-year old Kelsey Huff, 18-year old Emily Sprouse, 19-year old Michael Mellon, 19-year old George Pate and 29-year old Bradley Niederriter. They were all charged with
trafficking in marijuana over 8 ounces, possession of controlled substance 1st degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trafficking controlled substance 1st degree. All five suspects are from Berea.
