Tennessee fugitive turns himself in to state trooper

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -- A fugitive from Tennessee is now in a southern Kentucky jail after he turned himself in.

On Wednesday morning, police say Michael Ford, 38, approached a State Trooper and told him he thought he was wanted out of the state of Tennessee and wanted to turn himself in.

The trooper confirmed Ford was wanted in Kingsport, Tennessee for attempted murder, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.

Ford was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from another state, and lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
