The Arctic air sticks around for the next couple days!

Today's weather is something we are all to familiar with as these cold temperatures stick around for the next couple days. Highs this afternoon will reach the teens under mostly cloudy skies. Even though clouds will be around we stay dry, which is something that has been uncommon for the past several weeks. The only chance at seeing some flakes will be for the far south and southeastern zones where we could see some accumulation in the mountainous regions.

Clouds clear out tonight allowing our temperatures to drop back in the single digits for an overnight low. Winds will finally change over to a southerly component and that is FANTASTIC news for us. We will still be chilly, but at least we are headed in the right direction. Highs finally reach the 30s by Thursday with a wintry mix heading our way through the night and into Friday. The best chance of precipitation continues to point toward Saturday. It'll mainly be rain, but we are expecting a switchover to a wintry mix as we head into the night and into Sunday morning.
