The Waterfront restaurant in Covington to be rebuilt

COVINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Waterfront restaurant in Covington, Kentucky will soon be rebuilt on land.

Jeff Ruby, the restaurant's owner, told WKYT that he has plans to rebuild the restaurant because he doesn't think it is safe to keep the building on the water.

The restaurant broke free of its moorings twice and had to be rescued after it started drifting down the Ohio river. The first time it broke free in March of 2011, it had dozens of people on board when it floated away.
