Bands of light snow are working across the region. These can put down some light accumulations on the grass and elevated surfaces.
Tropical air continues to dominate the weather picture across central and eastern Kentucky. This juicy air is leading to very muggy conditions with an increasing threat for showers and thunderstorms.
Scattered storms will be possible through tonight as temps drop into the upper 60s for lows. Locally heavy rain and a lot of lightning will be the main threats.
Tuesday looks to feature more of the same with highs in the low to mid 80s for most areas.
A cold front moves our way late Wednesday. This front will bring widespread showers and storms our way late in the day into Wednesday night. This is when we run the risk for severe thunderstorms across the entire region.
Much cooler and drier air moves in by the end of the week into the start of the weekend. Highs will come down into the 70s.
