Another light wintry weather maker is heading for the region on Tuesday. This will bring some snow and rain showers to parts of central and eastern Kentucky. This system will also deliver a quick shot of colder air for late in the day.
The big news is a mild up that's on the way for the end of the week. Temps will make a run at 60 as winds stay gusty from the southwest. Those winds will also blow moisture into our part of the world. Showers will break out as early as Thursday.
The rain will become widespread by Friday into Saturday as a cold front stalls out across the region. This front will have waves of low pressure riding along it. Heavy rain and thunder will be possible during this time.
Colder air will then sweep in here on Sunday and Monday. The rain will likely change to some snow before all is said and done.
