LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Travelers on the ground and in the air had problems getting around due to fog early Wednesday.
Officials with the Blue Grass Airport say that multiple flights were impacted by the weather.
One of the flights delayed out of Blue Grass was a charter plane headed to Omaha, Nebraska. On board, over a hundred members of Commerce Lexington. "We're on our way to our annual Leadership visit," explains Chairman Danny Murphy. "The delay doesn't bother us though, it allows us to get to know each other better. There are a lot of people here so it just gives us more time to connect."
Lexington Police say they did not have any reports of crashes due to fog, but they urged drivers to use caution because of the limited visibility.
We spoke to drivers who had to be on the road this morning and they say it was hard to see. "It wasn't easy," explains Elaine Anderson, "you could barely see two feet in front of you so it was important to go slow. I was really concerned a deer was going to jump out in front of me!"
We're told by Blue Grass officials that after the fog burned off no other flights were affected by the weather.
