LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Three men invaded a Lexington home and robbed two teenagers at gunpoint early Monday morning, according to police.

The woman who lives in the Honey Jay Court house tells us that her two teenagers were home alone when the armed men forced their way inside.

The mother says the men threatened to kill her 13-year-old son and 19-year-old daughter if they tried to call police or leave the house.

Police tell us the suspects spent a considerable amount of time in the home before taking off with several items.

As police searched the street, worried neighbors say they searched for answers.

"I saw some flashlights in the windows and I saw police officers standing down there. I didn't know what was going on," said Catherine Vaughn.

Investigators say K-9s led them to a duplex down the street where they found the stash of stolen items.

Vaughn says she's had enough of the neighborhood’s crime.

"I just want to move to the country. I would like to have some peace and quiet and it's not around here," she said.

Investigators say the K-9s lost the suspects' scent so police are still trying to track them down.

Police tell us the armed men didn't try to hide their faces. They say the suspects are possibly in their 20's.
