Rounds of showers and storms continue to develop. Some of these could be strong and put down very heavy rainfall. Watch for local high water issues.
KNOX CO, Ky. (WKYT) - Sheriff's deputies say a child was nearly starved to death in southern Kentucky.
On Wednesday sheriff's deputies arrested his parents James Abner and Jessica Schneider and his grandmother, Sherry King.
All three face criminal abuse charges.
The Knox County sheriff's office says they received a tip in January that the boy was in bad shape.
Deputies say he was so malnourished that he had to spend twenty days in intensive care at Kentucky Children's Hospital.
"What I've been informed from doctors here and at UK, it's probably one of the worst cases they've seen as far as malnourishment," Chad Wagner, at the Knox Count Sheriff's Office, says.
Deputies say the boy has been released from the hospital, and is now in a safe place.
His parents and grandmother have pleaded not guilty to criminal abuse.\
