Thursday's First Alert Forecast

Updated: Thu 8:41 AM, Sep 27, 2012

We will be holding on to this wet pattern for the rest of the work week, but lets start with today. Numerous showers and thunderstorms can be expected during the morning through the afternoon. This could be an all day thing with a few breaks here and there, but the breaks shouldn't last long. Highs settle in the upper 60's to lower 70's. This boundary just doesn't want to move much. It does, finally, sink southbound through the night and through the day Friday, which will give us some more rain to speak of tomorrow. What we are not looking at is much severe weather. There could be an embedded storm or two that produce fast enough winds to trigger a warning, but nothing widespread. However, flooding could be a concern, so be on the lookout for any of that happening. The front swings southbound through the weekend giving us a nice weekend to work with. During the AM hours on Saturday we could see a few lingering showers south of I-64, but should be all clear for the afternoon. Highs both Saturday and Sunday will be in the upper 60's to lower 70's.
