Time running out for toy program

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Time is running out for parents who need help giving their children a merry Christmas.

The Lexington Fire Department will stop taking applications for their toy program on November 29th.

Ways to apply:
Applications will be taken at 324 Henry Street, Lexington, Ky 40508 Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

*Show proof of Fayette County residency addressed to parent/guardian.
*Children must be 10 years old or under, must show proof of age with birth certificate, school document.
*Guardians must provide official documents of guardianship.
*Guardian must show picture ID.

So far, 500 families have signed up, and more are expected.

Ways to donate:
*Take donations to Lexington fire stations until December 13th.
*Purchase a Kmart gift card via www.radiogiftcards.com.
*Attend the chuck Williams Auction on December 9th from 2-6 p.m. at the Henry Street location listed above.
