Today's cold front kick off major changes through next week

Now we just sit back and wait for the cold front to make its way through. Our thoughts of spring will be put on the back burner for at least the next week or so. Our temperatures will slowly rise to the upper 40s to lower 50s today as the system creeps eastward. This system brings us a good deal of rain with totals in the .5"-1.25" range. Winds will be a big story today as they crank up mostly in the 15-25 mph range, but some gusts could reach as high as 40 mph.
Wednesday we will really start to feel the effects of this front as our highs stay in the 30s and 40s. This will give way to a rain/snow mix across the region. Mainly rain/snow during the morning hours then mainly snow during the evening and overnight hours. Still looking at little to no accumulation at this point. The snow showers stick around on Thursday which could lead to minor accumulation for some. These two days will be the start of a cold and wintry pattern through the weekend with a chance at snow/flurries each day.
