LEXINGTON, Ky - (WKYT) John Calipari has added another top recruit to an already No. 1 ranked class of 2013.

Dakari Johnson (6-10, 250 lbs) ranks No. 1 at the center position in his class and No. 12 overall by ESPN. Johnson made his announcement Saturday night in front of a nationally televised audience, when he picked the Wildcats over Syracuse and Georgetown.

"Coach Cal, coach O (Orlando) and coach Payne we just sat down and talked. They were honest people," Johnson said. "They told me this wasn't a place for me to come if I was selfish or I wanted the ball all the time, or if I didn't want to work hard. I want to work hard. I want to get pushed. I want that pressure on me."

Johnson, who currently plays for Montverde Academy (Fla.) began his high school career at Sayre High School in Lexington.
