Towles practices, could play Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - UK quarterback Patrick Towles practiced for the first time Tuesday morning since suffering a high ankle sprain against Mississippi State October 6. Kentucky offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Randy Sanders described Towles as "rusty".

After practice Sanders was asked about Towles' ankle. "Well he had so much tape on it I don't know, ya know. He got along o.k. today but between the tape and the air cast and the high tops, he would have had a tough time rolling over.

Sanders went on to say Towels needs work. "Rusty, really, really rusty, but ya know, obviously it was good to have him back out there. It was good to have him in the huddle just making the calls. I liked the way he handled the things at the line of scrimmage and all that. But it's pretty obvious that he's rusty and needs work."
