Tracking a fast moving round of light rain, snow

We have another brush with old man winter coming this evening as a weak system dives in from the northwest. This will be in the form of light rain and light snow initially. A switch to light snow is likely during the evening hours and a small accumulation is possible in a narrow ribbon.

The weather for Friday looks MUCH better with gusty southwesterly winds boosting temps well into the 50s and low 60s across the state. Skies will be partly sunny and this looks like the best day of the week and for the next week.

Saturday and Sunday revert back to that ugly look as a couple of waves of low pressure work across the region. Showers will be likely as chilly air settles back in from the north.
