Showers and thunderstorms will begin to develop this afternoon and evening. Some of these could be strong or severe into the nighttime hours.
I'd take advantage of our last mostly dry day before our rain maker moves on in the next couple days. Only a slight chance of rain this afternoon with our highs remaining in the low to mid 80s. You might want to knock out the yard work today before the rain picks up tomorrow.
Friday and Saturday continue to show the better shot at widely scattered showers and thunderstorms. Most of us will be in the .5"-1.25" range with rainfall totals. If you happen to be in the right spot you could get around 2" when it's all said and done. No severe weather expected out of this system, which means much of this will be beneficial rain. The rain chance is there on Sunday, but much less probability.
Come next week the start will be a bit rainy, but things settle down as we move into the week.
