A weak cold front is draped across the bluegrass state and will keep a small chance of thunderstorms going tonight. The best chance will be across the south and west.
That front lifts back to the north as a warm front on Friday. That should bring a scattered shower or thunderstorm to much of central and eastern Kentucky. The best chance will be late in the day and during the evening.
Scattered storms will slowly increase on Saturday as tropical moisture pushes in from the southwest. This will give us a much better chance for showers and storms for Sunday into Labor Day.
Locally heavy rainfall is possible during this time. Highs over the weekend will range from the mid and upper 80s for Friday and Saturday to low 80s for Sunday and Monday.
