We are under a First Alert Severe Weather Day for the potential for strong to severe storms in the forecast. A couple thunderstorms can be expected during the morning hours, but your main severe weather threat comes during the afternoon & evening.

Here's the breakdown:
-Strong to severe storms spark up around 1pm-3pm.

-Damaging winds and some severe hail will be our main threats. We can't eliminate tornadoes, but the chance is very low.

-Our prime time for the potential for strong to severe storms will be from 2pm-midnight.

-Storms should begin to fade away around the midnight hour.
