Soak up that gorgeous sunshine! We have some changes coming our way very soon. Several days of shower and thunderstorm activity will be rolling in and hanging around during the rest of the week.
The spring temps will remain right here with us through the end of the week. The problem will be getting outside to enjoy them. You'll find little time to enjoy with the moisture coming our way.
Some scattered showers and storms will likely start showing up on Defender Tuesday night. The bulk of the rain will remain north of Lexington. Probably, closer to the Cincinnati area. We'll see an occasional wave dip into Central Kentucky.
The better chances won't arrive until Thursday. This could be our day to see some stronger storms with damaging winds possible. It could come in two waves. An early morning round and then more that night. This should carryover into Friday. More showers and storms will be moving through the area that day as well. As a matter of fact, this will be the time period for the frontal boundary to sweep through Kentucky.
By Saturday, we'll see temps drop from the upper 60s low 70s all the way down into the 50s for highs. The nighttime hours will likely see another round of 30s.
We'll keep you updated!
