Tracking the severe weather potential

By  |

Scattered showers and storms continue to rumble across the region and that's a sign of things to come. We have the potential for widespread severe storms impacting our area Wednesday into Wednesday night.

The storms this evening into tonight will contain torrential rains and a ton of lightning. A few may briefly spike toward severe levels.

The main action arrives Wednesday as rounds of thunderstorms form to our northwest and dive into Kentucky. The setup is one that can produce damaging winds as the lines of storms bow out.

In addition to the damaging winds... large hail and isolated tornadoes will be possible. Torrential rainfall and a ton of lightning will continue to be noted.

Additional storms will be around for Thursday and Friday.
