A traffic stop in Laurel County left a man facing drug charges.

On Thursday night, the Laurel County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver in a white Nissan Maxima on Ky. 770. Deputies found the suspect vehicle, and made a traffic stop. Deputies say they were able to determine that the driver was under the influence. While searching the driver, deputies say they discovered two prescription pill bottles that were filled the day before. One bottle, for 150 oxycodone pills, had 26 pills left in the bottle. The other pill bottle, for 60 Alprazolam, only had 29 pills remaining in the bottle.

Police say they also found a large amount of cash on the man. According to deputies, the suspect could not explain the missing pills, nor where he got the money. The suspect is unemployed.

Police arrested 50-year old Jeffery G. House, of Fariston Road, is charged with Trafficking in A Controlled Substance and with Operating a motor vehicle under the influence. He's being held in the Laurel County Detention Facility.
