Train, semi collide in Harrison County

HARRISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Several emergency crews are on the scene of a crash involving a semi and a train. It happened on Infirmary Road in Harrison County.

The Harrison County Sheriff says the semi got stuck while going over the train tracks. The driver saw the train coming and jumped out of the truck. He was not injured.

The train conductor saw the truck and locked the brakes, but was not able to stop in time.

The damage to both the semi and train was minor.

The road is shut down. Emergency officials say it could be a while before the road is back open.
