Travelling Vietnam War wall makes stop in Powell Co.

POWELL CO, Ky. (WKYT/WYMT) - A memorial to honor those who have served our country is making a stop in Powell County this weekend.

We caught up with folks visiting the traveling replica of the Vietnam wall today in Clay City.

Veterans, military families, and even those with no connection to the Vietnam War stopped to reflect on the thousands of names etched on the wall.

"The people that come to look at the wall itself that aren't veterans and don't know nobody," Paul Louallen, a Patriot Guard says, "That helps me know that our country stands behind its veterans."

The wall will be in Clay City Park through Sunday.
