Our focus now turns to the potential of record lows tonight. Many areas may wake up to thermometer readings below zero.
WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Several homes are without power after a tree fell in a Woodford County neighborhood. It happened around four Monday morning.
The tree came down on a home on Laurel Way in Versailles. A woman was inside the home at the time. She was not hurt.
Police do not think there's structural damage to the home.
The tree also landed on top of a Ford Expedition and a Jeep Liberty, parked in the driveway. Police say that there's minor damage to the vehicles.
The tree also snapped two power poles. There are power lines down on Laurel Way. There were more than 100 Kentucky Utilities customers without power on Monday morning.
The tree that fell was a 150-year old bur oak. Investigators think heavy rain made the ground soggy, causing the tree to topple.
