Two Barbourville men charge in connection with DUI vehicle collision

A father and his two juvenile children fled the scene of a DUI vehicle collision Thursday.

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - A father and his two juvenile children fled the scene of a DUI vehicle collision Thursday.

Police say both full and empty beer cans were found at the scene of the collision.

Thursday Barbourville Police responded to a call of a motor vehicle collision with injuries. Upon arrival officers found that Colin Kelly of Barbourville had struck another vehicle in the rear while it was stopped at a light on Highway 25.

Tony Broughton and his two juvenile children were in the bed of the Ford Ranger when it hit the stopped car.

Broughton and his children fled the scene. They were located a short time later, examined by Knox EMS and transported to Knox County Hospital.

Kelly was arrested and lodged in the Knox County Jail. Broughton was treated and then later lodged in the Knox County Jail.
