BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) - Two Interstate 65 projects are slated for completion later this year and another project is on track to finish ahead of schedule next year.
Greg Meredith, chief district engineer for the Department of Highways in Bowling Green, told the Daily News (http://bit.ly/LZ9Z3U) that he thinks the expansion of I-65 to six lanes from the Cumberland Parkway to just north of Park City will beat the contract deadline of Sept. 23.
Meredith said the second project expected to be complete by year's end is the construction of a new I-65-Greenwood interchange.
Meanwhile, the contractor doing the work says a third project to widen the interstate between Park City and Cave City is ahead of schedule and is expected to beat the contract deadline of August 2013.
