Two central Kentucky businesses robbed at gunpoint, could be connected

WINCHESTER/MT. STERLING, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are investigating armed robberies at two central Kentucky businesses in two central Kentucky towns that could be connected.

A business in Winchester was first robbed, then a Marathon station in Mt. Sterling.

The Mt. Sterling robbery happened around 9:15 p.m. Monday night. Sheriffs deputies say there were no witnesses when the clerk was held at gunpoint.

The suspect in the Mt. Sterling robbery is being described as a white man, about 5'10", wearing a black ski mask, jeans and a gray hoodie with a thin build.

We are told that man got away with some cash, but no vehicle description is available.

Sheriff's deputies left the gas station in Mt. Sterling and headed towards Winchester to investigate whether one suspect is responsible for both incidents.
