Two charged for helping escapee hide from authorities

Two people face charges for helping hide an escapee.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office says deputies went to a home on Court Road, south of London, looking for Frankie Brumley. He was wanted for escaping the Clay County Jail.

According the the Sheriff's Office, the two people who live in the home told deputies Brumley was not there. Deputies searched the house and found Brumley hiding in the master bathroom. Deputies arrested him after a short fight.

Brumley is charged with being a fugitive from Clay County and resisting arrest.

Shane and Tiffany Botkins were also arrested. They are charged with hindering apprehension.
