Two inmates escape from Fayette county correctional facility

Lexington, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are searching for 2 inmates of the Blackburn Correctional Complex in Fayette County after police say they walked away from the minimum security prison Saturday night.

23-year old Christopher Melton was serving a 6-year sentence for theft and evading police. He would have been eligible for parole in April 2013. He is described as a white male, 6' 1", 160 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

21-year old Tyler Roberts was serving a 10 year sentence for burglary, theft, arson, tampering with evidence, and possession of a handgun. He would have been eligible for parole October 2013. He is described as a white male, 5' 9", 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
