SAINT-JEROME, Quebec (AP) - Two inmates who escaped from a prison in Quebec are back behind bars this morning.
Authorities say they escaped the jail in Saint-Jerome yesterday afternoon by climbing up a rope that was dropped from a hovering helicopter.
One escapee and two other people were arrested Sunday, about 30 miles away.
The second inmate barricaded himself in a building and didn't surrender until this morning. The chopper pilot, who police are calling a witness, was treated at a hospital for shock.
