Two more arrests in McCreary murder plot

MCCREARY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - State Police have arrested two more people wanted in a murder for hire plot.

Antonio Turner, 21, and Joseph Denning, 19, both of Somerset, were arrested on Tuesday, and are both charged with conspiracy to commit murder, complicity to commit robbery, and unlawful imprisonment. They are listed at the Laurel County Detention Center.

Police say Regina Stephens hired the pair, along with Timothy Prater, to kill Debbie Taylor at her McCreary County home on Richard Stephens Road in Pine Knot.

Police say Stephens was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound when police went serve arrest warrants for conspiracy to commit murder.

Prater was arrested Friday, and charged with impersonating a police officer, first degree robbery, unlawful imprisonment, and conspiracy to commit murder. He's listed in the Laurel County Detention Center.
